FRUIT PICKING & NATURE TOUR YARRA VALLEY & WARBURTON
Spend a day out of the city and enjoy the sights of the Victorian countryside in nature.You’ll be picked up from your choice of hotel in the city centre at 10am and driven to the Yarra Valley countryside, with picturesque rolling hills and wineries.
The first stop will be a fruit tasting tour at Rayners Orchard, where you’ll join a tour in a tractor trailer and taken to different parts of the orchard to taste seasonal fruits straight from the tree.Currently in season are plums, apples, feijoas, strawberry guavas, figs, pomegranate and some more.You can also fill bags of fruit to take away, at a very reasonable rate.
After Rayners Orchard, we’ll keep driving towards Warburton Valley, and stop over to have a look around in the quaint Warburton village nestled near the base of the mountains, along the Yarra River. If you’re still feeling peckish after the fruit tasting then this is the place to grab a bite to eat.
We will then continue onto the magical Redwood Forest, where we’ll take a leisurely walk and be immersed amongst these giant trees, taking in the serenity of the forest. Behind the forest is a beautiful creek with fern trees and giant Eucalyptus trees. This area is a photographers’ and nature lovers’ dream.
After spending time in the forest we’ll make our way back to the city to be back around 5pm.
Need to dress for the weather, and bring a bottle of water.
Food and drinks are not included in the price, and the tickets for the fruit tasting tour is paid by customer on arrival. $38.50 for adults and $32.50 for kids.
This is a private tour and is suitable for a couple, or a group of 3 people seated comfortably in a 5 seater SUV.
